NEW JOB: ASSISTANT PRODUCER

BACKGROUND

Fifty-Three Six are looking for a freelance Assistant Producer to join our team for an initial 2 month period, with the opportunity to join the team on a long-term basis in the new year.

Fifty-Three Six is a full-service, multi-award-winning Sports Marketing Agency and Production Company. We specialise in content creation, performance marketing and digital strategy. 

We work with the likes of Racing TV, Kinetica, GAA, Lidl, The FA, Swim Ireland, IRFU, Munster Rugby, Joymo, PlayerData, BWG and many more. We pride ourselves in the quality of productions from TVCs, full feature documentaries, branded content, and social content. Fifty-Three Six is still a young agency and growing quickly. CORE SKILLS

  • Creativity: come up with and research original ideas for content and help to bring those ideas to life through creating proposals, treatments & production plans

  • Writing: create concise research documents that present your ideas and findings clearly 

  • Organisation: work to a tight and evolving schedule to ensure everything the production needs is sourced, written, shot, cleared, and edited - strong organisational skills required to set up and conduct shoot days

  • Communication: clear, concise, and regular communication on all aspects of production are vital for the smooth running of the slate of projects with both the internal team and external suppliers and clients/agencies  

  • Technical knowledge: understand filming equipment, the basics of lighting and sound, and post-production work-flow 

RESPONSIBILITIES & REQUIREMENTS

Research and Communication

  • Researching talent/contributors for each production and presenting a clear and simple overview for the producer/director for the interviews

  • Assisting in the creation of research, sales, and treatment documents

  • At times taking on the completion of a proposal once the copy has been written by the producer/director

Pre-Production 

  • Working with the production team to ensure that productions run smoothly.

  • Travel, both in Ireland and abroad, for meetings, recces, and shoots

  • Manage and streamline the post-production process, channeling and managing feedback and coordinating with different suppliers and producers/directors and the client

  • Compiling questions/discussion topics for interviews

  • Understanding and communicating production details to cast, crew, and participants

  • Engaging and liaising with cast, crew & participants by phone, email, and in person.

  • Managing budgets and schedules in conjunction with the Producer and Production Coordinator in an efficient and accurate manner.

  • Ensuring the pre-production checklist is updated and completed ahead of all productions

  • Work with the production coordinator to prepare the contracts regarding booking of locations, signing actors, hiring equipment, etc. Maintain all the contracts and documents for future reference.

Production

  • Attending and coordinating shoot days to ensure the smooth running of productions

  • At times conducting interviews and directing elements of a production

Post Production

  • Transcribing of interviews for the producer/director at the start of the post-production process and also ensuring that all elements required for the post are sourced, cleared and prepped i.e. brand guidelines and assets, archive stills and footage, music etc.

PREFERRED CANDIDATE

  • A passion for Sports 

  • Proficiency in PowerPoint or KeyNote

  • An eye of design

  • A passion for sport and knowledge or the Irish sports production landscape

  • Aptitude for writing - briefs, proposals, creative documents

  • Self-shooting & self-editing skills are a bonus

  • Self-starter - a candidate with energy, drive, and ability to work autonomously
